It's 8:30 a.m. a man in his 80's
arrives at the hospital. He was in a hurry, he had an appointment at 9:00 a.m.
He said he 'had to go to the nursing home for breakfast with his wife, a victim
of Alzheimer's.' I asked: "Will she be upset if you are late?" He
replied: "She no longer knows who I am, she has not recognized me in 5
years." I asked: ‘And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t
know who you are?’ He smiled with tender, loving eyes and said: ‘She doesn't
know me, but I still know her.’
